About the show:
A juried exhibit of work exploring science and its influences in our world. Through science we study bacteria, biology, evolution, the stars and everything in between. We examine and hypothesize and relate. Here we asked artists to use their knowledge and interest in the many facets of science to inspire their work.

Ginger Repke Art has a piece called "Forest Tentacles" juried into the Foundry Art Center's Colorless Exhibition. The Juror, Richard Sprengeler, selected 51 pieces from 273 works submitted.

Fourty-six artists from ten states juried into the show.

About the Exhibit Theme:
A juried art exhibition focusing on work that visually includes people in any way either through portraiture, crowd scene, or though shadow or form.

Juror:
Jamie Adams is an American painter, born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For his undergraduate studies he attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where he obtained a BFA with honors in 1983. In 2000 he earned an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia.

His work is represented in the permanent public collections of Museu Brasileiro da Escultura (So Paulo, Brazil), Museum of Modern Art Library (New York), MOMA (Wales), Los Angeles County Museum...

About the exhibit: As we approach each spring, there is always the thought to how volatile the season may be any given year. Spring brings thoughts of new life, beauty and reemergence after the cold and bleakness that signifies winter. But when we see the new life coming forth with spring, we can also train the eye to notice the things that do not come alive again. While we look for what is new, we often notice also the decay and ruin left by winter or in other ways, the destruction of time. Artists were encouraged to interpret this theme.

Juried show portraying anything that reminds you of good times, bad times, old toys or plaything, forgotten place, times past, antiquity, fond memories, a lost era you dreamed of. The possibility is endless. The purpose of this exhibition is to share who we are, where we were, and how we see our unique journeys because ultimately in the end, thats all there is.
